My journey into renewable energy has recently taken me deeper into Battery Energy Storage Systems (BESS), and it has been fascinating to see how much more than batteries goes into building a utility-scale storage project.
From system sizing and techno-economic modelling to grid integration, compliance, dispatch strategy, and project economics, BESS sits right at the intersection of engineering and commercial decision-making.
A big thanks to Sergey S. for putting together such a practical and industry-oriented course. It helped me connect the technical concepts with how BESS projects actually work in the real world.
With the growing need for flexibility and grid balancing alongside renewable energy, I’m keen to keep building my expertise in energy storage, power systems, and renewable project development.
Looking forward to applying this knowledge to real-world projects and continuing to grow in the energy transition space.
