Pleased to share that I’ve completed the Grid-Scale Battery Energy Storage (BESS): Complete Guide course.
For those of us working in power systems, grid connections, and hybrid microgrids, utility-scale BESS is now a key enabler of renewable integration, system flexibility, and operational resilience. A solid understanding of BESS configuration, control, and grid interaction is increasingly important when assessing power balance, system strength, dispatchability, and connection performance across grid-connected and islanded applications.
The course also reinforced the growing importance of long-duration energy storage, particularly Vanadium Flow Batteries, which offer strong potential for applications requiring extended discharge duration, high cycling capability, and durable stationary operation. As storage technologies continue to mature, they will play an increasingly important role in future grid and microgrid architectures.
