Sweden (EIFS 2018:2) — ride-through requirements

Breakpoints

Times are seconds from the start of the disturbance. Voltage is per-unit of nominal; frequency in hertz. An LVRT curve is a lower boundary (stay connected while voltage is on or above it), an HVRT curve an upper boundary, and FRT gives the band between its High and Low boundaries. These are the boundaries, not the behaviour: what holding one demands of the converter — reactive current injection, thermal stress, protection timing — is stepped through in the LVRT / HVRT ride-through visual.

Where these values come from

  • LVRTEnergimarknadsinspektionens foreskrifter EIFS 2018:2 om faststallande av generellt tillampliga krav for natanslutning av generatorer - 3 kap. 36 § (kraftparksmodul av typ D), with 3 kap. 34 § (symmetrical/asymmetrical), 37 § (pre-fault operating point) and 40 § (200 ms three-phase fault case). The code defines a linear recovery ramp; the vertices are read from the clause and the chart draws the segment between them.
  • FRTEnergimarknadsinspektionens föreskrifter EIFS 2018:2, 3 kap. 1 § (allmänna krav för kraftproduktionsmodul av typ A, B, C och D): '30 minuter inom frekvensområde 47,5–48,5 Hz; 30 minuter inom frekvensområde 48,5–49,0 Hz; obegränsad inom frekvensområde 49,0–51,0 Hz; 30 minuter inom frekvensområde 51,0–51,5 Hz'.
